Our Register

Our register is an independent online platform in Ireland that serves as a worldwide registration hub for all Traditional Cobs, and that can therefore freely facilitate and meet the needs and expectations of the Traditional Cob community worldwide. It is because our register is independent that we can have an online database that allows Traditional Cobs anywhere in the world to be registered online with us in Ireland even if they have no recorded pedigree, and, that also allows Traditional Cobs anywhere in the world that are registered with other registries to be added online to our database in Ireland so that they can be shown on our pedigrees together with the Traditional Cobs registered with us. It is, therefore, because our register is independent that we can make the retrieval of Ireland's lost Traditional Cob bloodlines possible.

A studbook in the EU is regulated (not independent) and is therefore under the responsibility and control of the EU Member State in which it was established. A studbook in the EU (an EU studbook) must therefore be operated by an officially approved breeder group or organization within the legal confines of the EU and national studbook regulations.
